About the staff at the Thai Kitchen Kenmore

Jack and Penny Chautavipata originally come from the central region of Thailand. When they met in the United States in 1980, they were very surprised to find out that their hometowns were no more than 10 miles from each other.

What you will see in Lopburi!

Jack and Penny Chautavipata

Jack comes from the city of Lopburi. Lopburi is known throughout Thailand as the "monkey capital of Thailand". Penny originally comes from the town of Saraburi. They met in Texas, and in 1989 decided to move to the pacific northwest and open up a authentic thai-style cafe - with the number one priority being to serve only authentic Thai cuisine.

They first started their restaurant in Renton, Washington in 1989, then moved the restaurant to Kirkland in 1993. Finally, in September of 1996 they moved to their present location in Kenmore. Jack and Penny have one son, Siam who is 12 years old.

Along with Jack and Penny at the Thai Kitchen in Kenmore, is Penny's sister Tip. She is the heart and soul of the Thai Kitchen. She has the knack of preparing some of the finest authentic Thai food you will ever eat. If you are brave enough, try the Jungle Curry sometime. It is one of the hottest and spiciest dishes you will ever eat

We hope to see you soon. Come on in and say hello, and enjoy some of our authentic Thai Cuisine!
